Amac Building Ltd proudly undertook the construction of a new build passive house on Chapel Road, Meigh. This project exemplified our commitment to innovative and sustainable building practices. We knew choosing the right builder would be one of the most important decisions and Aiden was great in helping us make this decision. He was happy to provide a list of recommendations from previous clients who had very positive things to say and assured us of the benefits of employing a FMB registered contractor.
Aiden fully understood the intention of the design and adopted the passive house approach. Some products and materials specified were not locally or readily available – several times Aiden drove long distances to source materials. However, he never complained and was always keen to learn about the benefits of passive house products.
We weren't available to be on site between 9-5 Monday to Friday, but Aiden was flexible for us and sent photos and videos daily, putting us as ease and keeping us informed. He was proactive in making recommendations, offering up ideas on all aspects of the build, which was a great help with some of the decision making.
Construction began in September 2019 and we moved in 12 months later. Aiden did an excellent job managing the build throughout the COVID-19 restrictions, working hard so that we wouldn’t be delayed moving in.
Aiden is a perfectionist who takes great pride in his team. He went above and beyond to complete the build on time and within budget.
We are delighted we chose AMAC construction for our build and as an Architect I thoroughly enjoyed working with them – we would absolutely recommend Aiden and his team to anyone.
